NORFOLK COUNTY CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL
AFL – CIO

Brothers and Sisters,

Quincy City Council President Jay Davis will soon appear before the Quincy Planning Board to impress on them the need rezone 200 Crown Colony Drive (the old Patriot ledger site) as a planned Unit Development. This will allow the flexibility needed to build a BJs store on the site

In these harsh economic times when many of our members are not only with out work but face a bleak prospect of working in the near future, it is essential that this project go forward.
BJs has committed to the Norfolk County Labor Council and the Quincy &south Shore Building Trades Council that it will build 100% Union! It is estimated that this will create 200 Building Trades jobs during construction with an additional 300 full time retail jobs on completion.

As he has in the past Council President Davis has stepped forward and is championing this cause for working men and woman. He needs the support of all of us. We are requesting that each affiliate send one or two members to the Planning Board meeting to support not only Councilor Davis but both the Labor Council and the Building Trades Council.
